At Steinhaus, our vision is to help you with an alternative solution to listing real estate with an agent; in turn helping you reduce your costs by not having to do renovating or staging, save you time by not using a traditional lender, and provide you with a much better quality of service!

Why Start the Company?

  • I wanted the transaction to be more transparent and I wanted the seller to know exactly what they were going to receive when I gave them my offer! For example, an agent in a transaction will take anywhere from 3-4% of the sale price. There is likely to be an agent on each side combining for a total of 6-8% of a transaction. On top of this you have to pay to fix everything in your house, repaint, stage it correctly, and then have to leave or tell your tenant to leave the house multiple times while on market. Some other expenses you have to pay are expensive title fees, a year back in taxes, and professional pictures.

  • I wanted to stop all of the formalities! When using an agent you have to go back and forth being extremely wasteful of time especially when you can talk directly to the home owner. The transaction looks a little something like this: Seller talks to agent, agent talks to buyer’s agent, buyer’s agent talks to buyer. Then it has to go all the way back down that line for the info to reach the seller and for them to make a decision on that item. This is every single item throughout the transaction and it can get extremely tedious. It is 10x easier to just talk directly to the person making the decisions!

About me

My name is Beau Borinstein, I was born and raised in Shelbyville, Indiana! I went to Triton Central High School and played football and ran track. After I graduated, I went to Auburn University for college and studied a general finance degree. Something just felt off, so I moved back to Indiana after a year and decided to pursue Real Estate and gain knowledge through some more informal more unorthodox ways! I did this by finding mentors as well as acting like a sponge while reading; soaking up as much information as I possibly could. I got my real estate license as well and did some traditional agency deals! I think theses types of deals can be extremely inefficient, however, I still do them to this day. I really enjoy the flipping side or working with rentals and communicating with the people that currently own these properties. These are the reasons why I started this company; I wanted to be doing something I enjoy everyday.
